1975 Stingray
Owner: Dusty Johnson

Car color Daytona Blue w/ Daytona Blue interior inside. Lots of chrome on engine all numbers match, rebuilt rear end L-48, one owner...ME! L-48 350 cubic inches Antique in Texas. Is 25 years old. Has lots chrome on engine. Has everything it came with. All power tilt telescoping steering wheel.

Has hub cap and beauty ring on spare tire running firestone 70`s 721`s rear have about 200 miles on then moved rear old to front maybe a few 1000 on them.

I had my body go offline & I broke my back & neck. I have after 15 years in hospital home therapy. They thought I would never walk again. Proved them Dr.s wrong. Loved that part !!! I can move around house a bit where corvette is stored in garage. This photo is on front yard lawn, and my home in background photo taken in 2002.

I didn`t plan on becoming disabled; but it happen one fall down VA. hospital steel & concrete stairs. Took me out. Even 2 years in Viet-Nam never took so much of my life away as did one fall ! I could not walk for 7 years; let alone drive my 75 corvette. This last year got 10% movement back but working for 15% to more by end this year. I cannot drive her yet; if, I take enough pain med`s types impair me; so glad, I cannot drive her yet ! !

The corvette has 78,800 miles on her. It has not a scratch on it. No dings, or flakes of paint
missing. Its almost perfect. I did have some alfa hotel try with a knife cut rubber back (corvette) letters off. Guess, they saw my date & I coming out of a San Antonio restaurant. Almost got them. So, I had them re-do paint the whole car. Anyone that owns one knows; every few years needs new paint job; again.

Front baby bumper is rubber; but rear is fiberglass. I guess, that takes away something with pure corvette owners; but the glass is really better; since no one I can find has the 1 inch block letters spelling out (CORVETTE) In fact, a place selling GM. parts said no more made and no after market ones made either and after market products told me I would have to go to a 1976 style; but lucky I never trashed the others.

New rebuilt 400 turbo hydromatic transmission; no replacing it, and a number change I put black marks on old transmission and put a tool punch tapped in housing this mark, and when they were ready to put new motor & transmission mounts in. I was right there watching as wanted same #`s on all the transmission as motor as rear end and frame *^* started to see small heat cracks on door panels. I took off the pollution stuff. In fact, everything I changed out on it over the years. I still have red valve covers to Maroso valve chrome covers & chrome air intakes; that has air filter its a air eater & the oil stick is chrome as is transmission stick & tubes brake fluid top is chrome. Also has locking chrome gas tank top, a new A6A air condition compressor. Had heater radiator go out; so had new ones put in & had old one rebuilt. I also changed the air vent knobs from black to chrome wooden ones has black and chrome stick on shifter Am-Fm radio stereo factory radio. Normal radio antenna, and one for a CB.; but a electric one for police scanner.

Car is original. Texas gets really hot in a 2 seat sports car only one made by Americans is the Corvette; so ordered new ones. There in place and look fine God knows; I have learned why they say for long storage drain liquids. Well, I`m finding out hard way. WHY !! ? Bit late & think it will cost me a few grand to fix what is messed up via long storage.

Might drop in a 454 big block if I can one.
