About Vettes on the Net

VOTN  begun in January of 1995 by a young Corvette enthusiast named Andy Blight, who found little information about his favorite car on the Net. Besides being a certified 'vettehead' , Andy is also a talented programmer and he soon constructed a Corvette site fit for an automotive legend.Response to the site was tremendous ( 30,000 visitors in its first four months ) , and soon Andy found himself overwhelmed with additions and revisions, all of which had to be done when he wasn't at his full-time job or at night school studying for his MBA . Rather than see the site slowly decline through neglect, he searched for someone ready and able to maintain the site to the high standards he originally set for it.

Vannevar New Media took over operation of the site in November of 1995, and immediately began planning for its revision and expansion into what you see through November 1997: the premier on-line resource for the Corvette enthusiast. Subsequently, Vettes on the Net been developed by Greenfield . Greenfield has been able to boost Vettes on the Net to it's current viewership of 100,000 hits per month.

In the weeks and months ahead, Vettes.com will add even more features to this site. Andy knew that most of the material that would bring VOTN to life would come from you, our visitors. We're continuing that tradition and carrying it even further with new interactive features. We're proud of this new site.

We hope you enjoy it.
